Awards & Recognition

It's always nice to be recognized for outstanding care, and the hospitals of Meridian Health have received their share of awards.

So have our nurses. In fact, the hospitals of Meridian Health are the first in the region to have received the prestigious Magnet award for nursing excellence three times. The Magnet award is bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the nation's largest and foremost nursing accrediting and credentialing organization.

Our awards and recognition are often measured as part of Jersey Shore University Medical Center, who has been designated by J.D. Power and Associates as a Distinguished Hospital for Inpatient Services (2006) and received the New Jersey Governor's Award for Performance Excellence (2005).

With our Meridian Partner Hospitals, Jersey Shore received the following awards:

  • FORTUNE'S "100 Best Companies to Work For" (2010, 2011, & 2012)
  • Top 100 Integrated Health Networks by Modern Healthcare Magazine
  • "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" for eight consecutive years by NJBiz
  • New Jersey's Outstanding Employer of the Year in 2003 and 2009
  • One of the top 100 Most Wired Health Systems in the United States for 10 consecutive years
  • John M. Eisenberg Award for Patient Safety, one of the highest recognitions in the nation for hospital quality.
