General Pediatrics Journal Club
Journal Club is held monthly.
A specific article is selected by the assigned PGY II with the advice of a faculty member. The article is discussed in detail by the resident assigned to do it with a faculty member in attendance.
All residents are to read the article in advance, attend the conference and be able to participate in the discussion. This article review allows the resident under the tutelage of a faculty member to perform a critical review of the literature which is necessary for acquiring skills for life long learning. It allows the resident to learn research techniques and methods of participating in scholarly activity.
