Salt Creek Grille To Hold Annual Anniversary Wine and Martini Tasting Fundraiser To Benefit K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital On April 22

Rumson, NJ - The Salt Creek Grille in Rumson will be holding their annual Anniversary Wine & Martini Tasting fundraiser on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 7-10 PM. This year's event will benefit K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. To purchase tickets for the fundraiser or for more information, please call 732-751-5134. Tickets for the fundraiser are $100 per person.

This is Salt Creek Grille's 12th year in business and its seventh annual fundraising event to benefit a local charity that serves children. Each year since it opened in 1998, Salt Creek Grille has placed a selected charity's name and its mission under its signature roast chicken dish to generate public awareness and money for the charity. Throughout the year, each time the Murray's Stuffed Roast Chicken dish is ordered one dollar is donated to the charity. In addition, the program includes an annual fundraising event with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the charity. Since 1998, these efforts have raised nearly $450,000 for different Salt Creek Grille charities.

"Ever since we opened our doors, charity has played an important role," said Steve Bidgood, Salt Creek Grille's Regional Partner. "We are extremely excited about partnering this year with K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital." K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center offers the most comprehensive range of pediatric services in partnership with Riverview Medical Center and Ocean Medical Center in the region.

"We are so thrilled to be selected as Salt Creek Grille's charity for this year," said Nancy Byrne Reinhart, volunteer event chair. "Steve Bidgood is a dear friend and I personally have witnessed his generous acts of charity for his community."

Last year, more than 120 guests attended the event to benefit the 2009 charity - Parker Family Health Center - and raised $46,000 through ticket sales and a live auction. This year event will include live music, a live auction, and unbelievable food. NJ 101.5's Big Joe Henry will again serve as auctioneer at the party. Past auction items have included trips to Napa Valley, Salt Creek Grille Soup-to-Nuts dinner for eight, and one-of-a-kind guitars signed by local rock 'n' roll stars Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi.
