Meridian Health Explains How To Find Reliable Health Information Online

Meridian Health to present free programs on how to find health information on the Internet

Neptune, NJ - Finding health information online can be difficult. Not knowing if the information found is reliable, what sites provide the best information, or even where to begin can make the experience daunting. Meridian Health would like to make the search easier by rolling-out three separate informational events in August.

Health Information on the Internet- the Good, the Bad and the Don't go There, a free program on how to find reliable and credible health information on the internet will be presented at three of Meridian Health's medical centers.

Cathy Boss, coordinator of Library Services at Jersey Shore University Medical Center's award-winning Booker Health Sciences Library, will explain how one can become a health information sleuth at each of the following events:

  • August 6, 2010 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Ocean Medical Center Conference Room A
  • August 9, 2010 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Jersey Shore University Medical Center Rooms B104-B105
