Neptune, NJ -  On July 9th, under the direction of event co-chairs Peter Cancro, founder and CEO of Jersey Mike's Subs and Terry McCarty of TD Bank, Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation hosted the 29th Annual Sports Classic Golf Tournament in support of Jersey Shore’s cardiovascular programs.  Jersey Shore, part of Meridian Cardiovascular Network, is the local cardiac surgery provider for Monmouth and Ocean counties and consistently achieves success rates among the nation’s best.

Held at both Deal Golf & Country Club and Hollywood Golf Club, the tournament attracted 223 golfers, and the evening cocktail reception boasted a tremendous live and silent auction.  The 29th Annual Sports Classic Golf Tournament raised a record-breaking amount of $290,000 in support of cardiovascular services at the hospital.  This year’s event sponsors included Jersey Mike's Subs and MagnaCare, along with official clothing sponsor, Brooks Brothers.
