About the Child Protection Center
It's always heartbreaking to hear that a child was a victim of abuse or neglect. Here at K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital, the health and well-being of the children we see every day is our highest priority. Our team is trained to watch for signs of abuse and neglect among even our littlest patients and we have partnered with the Dorothy B. Hersh Regional Child Protection Center to provide protective services to victims within Monmouth and Ocean counties.
Our multidisciplinary team of medical specialists can address the physical and emotional issues related to abuse and neglect, including medical (and forensic) exams, behavioral and mental health evaluations, and care management.
Additionally, as part of our outreach prevention program, we offer training and education to community providers, law enforcement personnel, and medical and mental health professionals.
