About our Transport Services
From the moment you buckle your child into its first car seat, traveling safely becomes a top concern. When you factor in a medical condition, sometimes it is best to turn to a specialized medical transport team.
The pediatric transport team at K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital specializes in the stabilization and transportation of children of all ages, including premature babies. In response to each call, our team immediately mobilizes and travels to surrounding hospitals, safely transporting more than 650 children per year.
Our transport team consists of specially trained critical care nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), pediatric resident physicians, and board-certified pediatric critical care attending physicians adept in the transportation of critically ill children and neonates.
