Why Give

Why GiveWith every gift you give, we fulfill a mission—yours. It is with great pride that we honor your donation by ensuring that it helps as many children as possible at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital.

Your donations directly impact the programs and services, equipment and supplies, and most importantly the children and their families who come to the hospital for care.

Every gift helps us to fulfill our goal of providing the most comprehensive medical care for kids close to home… where they belong. Every gift makes a difference.

Meet Our Donors

The Imbrenda Family

\\cpusrfs01\users$\tmehta\Desktop\Imbrenda_1Joe and Tara Imbrenda are no strangers to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. When Tara was only 34 years old, she faced a life-threatening heart condition, and was rushed to Jersey Shore. Fortunately, her outcome was exceptional, and she went on to start a family with her husband, Joe. With the birth of her first child, however, Tara faced a new health crisis, and Jersey Shore was there to take care of her and her family. Joe was so impressed with the hospital's care that he decided to make a gift of $10,000 to the Pediatric Emergency Department at K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital. The Imbrenda family—Tara, Joe, and daughter Ella—are proud to support the hospital that helped them when they needed it most, and their gift helps to ensure that others will be able to get the same superb care.

Master Park's Black Belt America

\\cpusrfs01\users$\tmehta\Desktop\MasterPark_1Master Park's Black Belt America once again demonstrated their commitment to healthcare in our community by making a generous gift this summer during the grand opening of the Northwest Pavilion.

K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital is pleased to partner with other organizations that care about the wellness of children in the community.

Cabaret for Life

\\cpusrfs01\users$\tmehta\Desktop\CabaretLogoCabaret for Life, in conjunction with the Axelrod Performing Arts Center and the Monmouth Civic Chorus, provided an entertaining way to support K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital last fall. Through ticket sales for their performances of the musical Ragtime, the groups raised $6,500 to benefit pediatric oncology and pediatric HIV programs.

"Far and away this is the largest fundraiser mounted by Cabaret for Life in many years," said President and stage director Andrew DePrisco. He added that K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital was chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the performances in the spirit of one of the show's most poignant musical numbers entitled "Our Children".

Cabaret for Life, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for service organizations that help people who are coping with life-threatening diseases, especially HIV/AIDS, through the production of musical theater. With the support of the community, Cabaret for Life endeavors to bring talented, caring people together to help other people who are in need.
