Governor's Award for performance excellence by Quality

Jersey Shore University Medical Center has once again received recognition for quality performance with the recent announcement of its winning the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence at the Bronze level. The Governor’s Award is bestowed annually, following a comprehensive evaluation by Quality New Jersey (QNJ), a state agency which assesses the overall quality of New Jersey’s hospitals, manufacturing companies, and schools.

John M. Eisenberg Award for Innovation in
Patient Safety and Quality
Meridian Health, in 2005, was honored with the prestigious John M. Eisenberg Award for Patient Safety and Quality, a national award bestowed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and the National Quality Forum. Meridian was recognized for improving patient safety and the quality of care delivered to residents of Monmouth and Ocean counties through the innovative use of evidence-based best practice clinical guidelines as part of the hospitals computer-based physician order entry system (CPOE).

The Magnet award is bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the nation's largest and foremost nursing accrediting and credentialing organization, to honor the nursing staffs of the hospitals that meet the nations highest standards. Meridian Health Named Most Wired
For Eighth Consecutive Year
Hospitals and Health Networks Magazine, a publication of the American Hospital Association, recently honored Meridian Health as one of the nation's 100 Most Wired Health Systems. This is the eighth consecutive year Meridian has received this national recognition. Only 19 other hospitals and health systems in the country have attained this ranking for seven consecutive years.

2004 eHealthcare Leadership Awards Winners Honored at Health Care Internet Conference in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, NV - Almost 200 health care organizations, representing a broad industry spectrum, received recognition for their outstanding Web sites at a special presentation in Las Vegas on November 9 during a health care Internet conference sponsored by Greystone.Net, an Atlanta-based strategy firm, in cooperation with the Chicago-based Forum for Health Care Strategists. At the event, Meridian Health received the Gold Award for Best Overall Internet Site. Sites receiving the 2004 eHealthcare Leadership Awards were selected from 1,202 entries. One hundred four individuals familiar with health care and the Internet judged the entries.
