JERSEY SHORE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER TO HOLD DISCUSSION ON CERVICAL CANCER VACCINE
Neptune, NJ - On Tuesday, April 17, Jersey Shore University Medical Center will host a round table discussion lead by Debra Gussman, M.D., at 5:30 p.m., in Brennan Room 104, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, 1944 Route 33, Neptune.
The discussion, about the Gardasil Cervical Cancer Vaccine, will talk about this new vaccine offered to young women to prevent the human papilloma virus, also known as HPV, the leading cause of cervical cancer. The dialogue will also include what diseases are caused by HPV, how we can keep women and girls safe from these diseases, what are the pros and cons of the Gardasil Vaccine, and what the American Cancer Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommend.
