Library Services

Borrowing
Borrowing privileges are extended to persons with a current Meridan Health security badge and need to be checked out during staff hours. Books and audiovisuals may be borrowed for two weeks. Journals may not be borrowed. Renewals are permitted, provided no one else has requested the item. Items may be returned to the library or placed in the book drop outside the library. Patrons who lose or damage library items must pay full replacement costs plus processing costs.

Photocopier
Self-service photocopier is available for patron use. Single copies of a journal article or book chapter may be made on the library photocopier, in accordance with the Federal Copyright Law.

Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan privileges are extended to persons with a current Jersey Shore Univerisity Medical Center security badge. Materials not available in the library may be obtained from another library through interlibrary loan. Requests are electronically submitted to other libraries and delivered to us by mail, courier or facsimile in cases of clinical emergency.

Reference
Library staff are trained to search the journal literature, locate and retrieve information and provide assistance with the library's collection and resources. Stop by, call, fax or e-mail your queries!
