Message to the Community
Every time I open an issue of Meridian
HealthViews magazine, I find articles with
which I immediately connect. When I read
about local people and how they have overcome a
health challenge, I feel inspired. I think that "close
to home" spirit is why so many of our readers have
enjoyed this magazine for 10 years now.
This issue of HealthViews reflects some enhancements
that we hope will strengthen our ties with
our various communities. First, HealthViews is now
being customized by the Meridian hospital closest
to you — Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank,
Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune,
or Ocean Medical Center in Brick — while still
including articles and information from the broader
Meridian Health family. We also have added content
geared specifically for individuals older than age 50.
The new section is called Wise & Well.
HealthViews will still include the real accounts
of our patients that you have grown to love. In addition,
we will continue to feature a calendar section
loaded with free and low-cost health screenings and
educational events.
We are very pleased to bring you this newly
expanded and refreshed publication and we hope it
will inspire you and be something you look forward
